Due to participating bars not allowing JUMP SHOTS or MASSÉ SHOTS
Rule 4.18 of Eight Ball Rules shall be amended as follows:
While “cue ball fouls only” is the rule of play when a match is not presided
over by a referee, a player should be aware that any attempt to jump the
cue ball over or around an impeding numbered ball by striking down on
or scooping the cue ball will constitute a foul.
Any unintentional cue ball jumps or jumps caused by a miscue will
not be considered a foul unless the rules of a legal shot were not met. Any curve or massé that causes the shooter
to raise the cue over his/her shoulder or at a 45° angle will constitute as a foul.
Rule 4.8 of Eight Ball Rules shall be amended as follows:
4.8 8-BALL
POCKETED ON THE BREAK
If the 8-ball is pocketed on the break, breaker then wins the game.
If the breaker scratches while pocketing the 8-ball on the break, the
incoming player wins the game.
